Much Ado About Everything
The life and times of a desperate housemother.

So I have realized that I completely fail on the whole Blogging deal. Life has just been so hectic that when I do have the time to sit down and relax, there are still so many other things to do. For example, I'm here writing this new post while clothes still wait to be folded, toys picked up, dishes put away and floors need cleaning. I guess I need to either figure out how to manage my time better or brow-beat my hubby and girls into picking up after themselves more often. I don't know. Also, I'm sure it doesn't help having moved yet again and dealing with all the unpacking and trying to figure out where everything needs to go. Although we're well over halfway done, there is still so much to do. Well, anyway, here's to luck in doing better this time!

The Great Yard Crusade
So now I actually have a yard! Well, not much of a yard ... here's a pic of what it looked like when we moved in
Nothing but weeds, weeds and more weeds - minus the cat. Now these aren't your everyday weeds. No, these weeds will poke and jab and irritate you to death. Gloves must be worn and I'm just not used to that, so I go out bear handed and come back in after half an hour with sorely prickled and itchy hands. But the hard work is starting to pay off and here are some more pics of what the yard looks like now.
So, it's still a work in progress, but coming along rather nicely. We hope to get a whole lot more done this coming spring and I'll be sure to keep things updated on here and show everyone the progress we've made.

Tricky Tongue Twisters To Tease The Tip of The Tongue
As I was putting my daughter's books back on the shelf, I found a book of tongue twisters and decided to try some of them out. Most of them were pretty easy and a good deal of them were rather lame, but I did find a good few ones that I would share:
If one doctor doctors another, does the doctor who doctors
the doctor doctor the doctor the eway the doctor he is doctoring
doctors? Or does he doctor the doctor the way the
doctor who doctors doctors?
A bitter biting bittern bit a better brother bittern,
and the bitter better bittern bit the bitter biter back.
And the bitter bittern, bitten by the better bitten bittern
said, "I'm a bitter biter bit, alack!"
Ned Nott was shot and Sam Shott was not.
So it is better to be Shott than Nott.
Some say Nott was not shot.
But Shott says he shot Nott.
Either the shot Shott shot at Nott was not shot,
Or Nott was shot.
If the shot Shott shot shot Nott, Nott was shot.
But if the shot Shott shot shot Shott,
Then Shott was shot, not Nott.
However, the shot Shott shot shot not Shott - but Nott.
If you stick a stick across a stick,
or stick a cross across a stick,
or cross a stick across a stick,
or stick a cross across a cross,
or cross a cross across a stick,
or cross a cross across a cross,
or stick a crossed stick across a stick,
or stick a crossed stick across a crossed stick,
or cross a crossed stick across a cross,
or cross a crossed stick across a crossed stick,
would that be an acrostic?
and the last one:
Betty Botter bought some butter.
but she said, "The butter's bitter.
If i put it in my batter,
it will make my batter bitter.
But a bit of better butter -
that would make my batter better."
So she bought a bit of butter
better than her bitter butter.
And she put it in her batter,
and the batter was not bitter.
So 'twas better Betty Botter
bought a bit of better butter.
Whew. That was a lot of typing. It's just as bad typing the tongue twisters as it is typing them. Hope you have fun reading these out loud.

Welcome!
Hello, welcome to my newest blog. I finally decided to post updates on my life in a blog and share it with my friends rather than keeping it hidden inside a journal. There will (hopefully) be tales about my girls, mishaps around the house and humorous antidotes about life in general. I also hope to be posting pictures as I am able to get them off my phone. Well, enjoy, and I hope to be reading some comments very soon!
